Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Once again we are preparing for the City-Pier-City (CPC) Run scheduled to take place on Sunday 11th March, 2012 in The Hague.
The ABN AMRO CPC Run in The Hague is widely renowned and famous for the running of the Half Marathon. However, the event is much more than that! Every year tens of thousands derive great pleasure from the Ernst & Bobbie Children's Run, the Youth Run, the Schools' Run, the West 5 km Run, the AD Haagsche Courant 10 km Run.
Following the tradition of previous years we would like to strongly encourage our students to take part in the race at a distance based on their own ability and comfort level. Once again, this year, we are incorporating theHouse Systeminto the CPC event. The distances that each individual student runs will be added to an overall House total and after the event we will be able to see which House group has accumulated the most kilometers. All Secondary School students have the option of selecting whether to participate in the West 5 km Run or the AD Haagsche Courant 10 km Run.
Many teachers have already signed up to run in this year’s event and we anticipate that many more will do so in due course. Additionally, we always welcome parent participation at this event. Therefore, if you are parent who would like to participate with your child(ren) you may do so through this application form.
Programme
The programme for the 38thedition of the ABN AMRO CPC Run The Hague on 11th March, 2012 is as follows:
11.30 - Start ABN AMRO Youth Run (2,5 km) Malieveld - Koekamplaan
12.00 - Start West 5 km Run at Koningskade
13.00 - Start AD Haagsche Courant 10 km Run at Koningskade
14.30 - Start ABN AMRO Half Marathon at Koningskade
The fees for the races are as follows:
• € 7,00 - West 5 km race
• € 9,00 - AD Haagsche Courant 10km race

YOU CANNOT SIGN UP FOR THE HALF MARATHON THROUGH SCHOOL
Furthermore, we always welcome any students or parents that would like to help us out as a volunteer during the event. We are looking for volunteers to help out with the setting up and maintenance of the ISH stall, as warm up coaches, as timekeepers or coaches to run alongside younger primary students participating in the 2.5 km run. Any students that do volunteer to assist us will be awarded with either C & S or CAS points depending on which programme is applicable to their particular Year Group.
Please complete the details on the back of this letter, one form per family, if you would like to participate with our school in this event. Please return all application forms (click here to print) to Mr. Heseltine in a sealed envelope with the correct amount of money enclosed no later than Friday 10th February.
Please note -No change can be given. Exact monies only! Late registration will not be possible through the school!
During the week before the race, you will receive a start number and a little CPC gift. Further details about the run (meeting point, time, etc), will be sent to registered families the week before the race.
