The children are actively engaged in a multi-sensory, interactive programme for learning based on the Numeracy Framework for England and Wales. Lessons consist of mental maths activities, whole-class teaching, differentiated group tasks and often a plenary, allowing the children to think and reflect upon their learning. The use of practical equipment is integral to the learning of all children and the core scheme of work used is 'Abacus'
