The atmosphere in both our Upper Primary and Lower Primary, is friendly and positive. At ISH we firmly believe that children must be happy in order to learn effectively and we therefore focus on both personal and academic development.
The care and welfare of our children is of paramount importance. We ensure all children are comfortable and happy at school, particularly those new to the ISH. We have a comprehensive "buddies" system that ensures children always have a peer to support them. Of course, we also have in place a chain of adult support, ranging from teachers and classroom assistants, office staff, team leaders and the head teacher. All are actively involved in making the ISH a place where learning is fun and children are secure and confident. "Golden Rules" help to support the ethos in school.
