On 27 March 2015 the second ISH alumni event was held at the Hilton The Hague. It was a fantastic event and It was nice to see a good turn out of alumni. There as a lovely atmosphere amongst the attendees, of which you can experience a little taste by clicking on the slideshow below.

David Butcher, the current Principal of Secondary welcomed everyone there. I believe his words resonated with everyone, despite the fact that he had not been principal for everyone there.  We hung up a map of the world and in years to come we want to map out " the road to and from ISH". Alumni were asked to plot were they had lived in the world before and after ISH. We will continue to add to this map, and make photos of it in various stages. It will be hung in a prominent place in School. If you are an alumnus and you would like to add to the map, please send me the places where you have lived. Orrrrr even better, come by the school and plot the locations yourself.

We also launched the new alumni website. In future this will be the best way to stay informed about upcoming events due to changes in Facebook settings whereby we never quite know whether we'll be able to reach everyone. Anyone who was registered with the previous alumni database will have received a new login but if you know of any alumni who are not yet registered, please tell them to go to www.ishthehague.nl and follow the alumni button after clicking on login.

Last Wednesday 1000 students participated in our Walk for Water. The students together had raised the fantastic amount of 20.000 euro. The Agua for All foundation adds 50% of this sum so in total we will contribute 30.000 euro to the Max Foundation. The money will go to 12 schools in Bangladesh and provide 3800 kids will clean drinking water and toilets.

In spite of the mist and cold we had a great time and the students -even the Year 3's- completed the walk in good spirit and in a record time.

We would like to thank all supervisors and especially the parent supervisors for their help because without them this event wouldn't have been possible.
