Part-time schoonmaker (0.3125 fte & 0.625 fte)

Organisatie:

The International School of The Hague heeft een doorlopend internationaal curriculum voor kinderen van 4 tot 18 jaar. Onze studenten zijn Engelstalig, de voertaal is dan ook Engels. The International school of The Hague is onderdeel van Stichting Het Rijnlands Lyceum. De stichting staat voor toonaangevend onderwijs. De Stichting verenigt zes scholen op algemene grondslagen en biedt Nederlands, tweetalig, Europees en internationaal onderwijs.

Wij zoeken per direct twee schoonmakers:

  • voor de ochtend: 5 uur
  • voor de avond: 2.5 uur

De reguliere schoonmaaktijd voor de avondploeg is elke werkdag van 17.00-19.30 uur. U werkt in een team van ongeveer 14 personen dat wordt geleid door een floormanager.

De reguliere schoonmaaktijd voor de ochtend is van 07.00 – 12.00 uur.

Indien nodig kan er tijdens schoolvakanties of in het weekend ook een beroep op u worden gedaan. De grondslag van het contract is tijdelijke aanstelling met uitzicht op vast.

De werkzaamheden zijn:

  • Het dagelijks reinigen van de toiletten en aan-en bijvullen van toiletbenodigdheden;
  • Het beheren van de toiletbenodigdheden van de voorraad schoonmaakmiddelen;
  • Het reinigen van de vloeren met behulp van diverse apparatuur;
  • Het periodiek behandelen van de vloeren;
  • Het op aanwijzing reinigen van specifieke lokalen, zoals computeren en science lokalen;
  • Het periodiek reinigen van gordijnen en vitrages;
  • Het leegmaken van papier- en afvalbakken;
  • Het doorgeven van mankementen;
  • Het melden van storingen en defecten;
  • Het bijhouden van de uitgevoerde werkzaamheden;
  • Het onderhouden van de schoonmaakapparatuur.

Exams Support Officer/ Administrative Assistant - 0.6 Fte - Secondary School


The International School of The Hague is a highly successful, innovative and energetic semi-public school located in a state-of-the-art building in an area of natural beauty on the edge of the city of The Hague, near Kijkduin.

The entire school currently has 1900 students and hosts over 85 nationalities with teachers from around the world. The school is divided into Primary and Secondary with a Principal for each section. The Principals and Vice-Principals, supported by the Business manager, comprise the Senior Leadership of the School.

Currently we have a vacancy at Secondary School:

Exams Support Officer/ Administrative Assistant
Starting date: 1 November 2017 or soon thereafter

This is a 0.6 FTE Academic Administrative position (OOP). Due to the nature of the external exams cycle (International Baccalaureate) it is essential that the candidate can be flexible with the working hours (e.g. working during some of the school holidays, when examinations take place).

Due to the exponential growth of ISH Secondary, this position is to support the Academic Deputies of ISH Secondary in the preparation, collation, administration and delivery of all external and internal exam cycles at the school. On average, a year group at ISH is c.160 students and there are a number of internal assessments, projects and exams that have to be overseen per year group.

The Exams Support Officer will:

  • report directly to the Deputy Heads Academic IBMYP and IBDP and the IBCP Coordinator;
  • be responsible for organizing, running and supervising all internal examinations in accordance with the school and IB regulations under the guidance of the Deputy Heads Academic;
  • assist the Deputy Head Academic IBDP in organising, supervising and running the external examinations (May and November IBDP examinations) in accordance with the IB regulations;
  • assist the Deputy Heads Academic IBMYP and IBDP and the IBCP Coordinator in registering students on the IB Information System (IBIS) and will provide administrative support on all aspects relating to examinations;
  • will provide administrative support in record-keeping and issuing documentation (e.g. results documentation, alumni records etc.).

Skills and experience needed:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills; the ability and confidence to communicate effectively and liaise with various stakeholders, including staff and students
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Good IT and administrative skills - some administration or office-based experience

Ability to work under pressure; ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

Ability to work with others as well as independently

Working hours:

  • 24 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks)
  • Working hours 08:00 hrs – 16:30 hrs
  • Holidays may not be taken during the school term time

We offer

A temporary appointment for a year, with a view to a permanent contract if all the conditions are met. The position is based on the Dutch Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) for Secondary Education. Scaling: OOP staff, Scale 6. The exact step depends on the relevant background and experience. (CAO VO)
