Physical Education (PE)

Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 have three lesson hours of PE per week: one double and one single period.

Physical Education offers students a wide variety of physical activities in order to acquire knowledge and understanding of movement in relation with a healthy lifestyle and to prepare for participation in sports and different roles during sports activities (e.g. referee or coaching), both now and in the future.

Students follow the Middle Years Programme, which incorporates all other subjects (e.g. History of a sport), while continuing to meet the requirements of the PE syllabus.

Students in Years 7-9 receive lessons in the following sport and/or exercise activities: - Games
- Gymnastics
- Track and Field
- Music and Movement
- Self-defence
- Others, such as skiing, ice skating, etc.

Youth Club
Students in Years 7 and 8, who wish to participate in games outside school hours, may do so on Friday afternoons in our Youth Club. The programme offers a choice of football, hockey, basketball, badminton, table tennis and fun games.
