Cuba trip 18 - 24 October 2009

The Cuba trip is intended as an educational tool to allow the students to observe the theory they have learned in various subjects in the Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate. The trip gives students a valuable insight into a very unique country, where they will get an opportunity to speak with people who took part in important historical events, see how a command economy is implemented and how this has affected the country socially, economically and geographically.

 

London trip 22 - 24 January 2010

This British Art and Theatre trip is open to all students of years 11 and 12. We will travel by coach via the Eurotunnel and stay in a youth hostel within easy reach of the centre. A packed educational programme will include a trip to the Tate Modern, a choice between visiting either the Natural History or Science museum, in Kensington and a visit to a major West-End theatre production on the Saturday evening. Students will also have an opportunity to buy gifts at trendy Spitalfields Market on the Sunday, before our return to the continent.

Ski trip 19 - 27 February 2010

The International School of The Hague is pleased to confirm and announce details of the annual ski trip to Axamer Lizum, near Innsbruck, Austria.

There are 68 places being offered on a first come first served basis. Initially, the trip will be offered to students in Years 10, 11 and 12. Should any places still be available after this the trip will then be offered to students in the lower year groups of 7, 8 and 9. Click here for more information.

Paris trip 22 - 25 April 2010

The French Department will organize a trip to Paris from 22nd to 25th April 2010 for year 12 students of French A and B. We will travel by bus and stay in a hotel in the city centre. The aim of the trip is educational: it is a four day exposure to the French language and culture. The programme includes visits to various museums such as the Musée d’Orsay and the Centre Pompidou and other places of interests e.g. the Père Lachaise cemetery and Montmartre. The evening programme consists of a dinner in a French restaurant and a visit to the theatre or the cinema.

 

Barcelona trip 22 - 25 April 2010

The Spanish Department will organize a trip to Barcelona from 21st to 25th April 2010 for y12 students of Spanish A and B. We will travel by airplane and stay in a hotel in the city centre. The aim of the trip is educational: it is a four day exposure to the Spanish language and culture. The programme includes visits to various museums such as Dalí and Picasso museums and other places of interests such as La Sagrada Familia..The evening programme consists of a dinner in a Spanish restaurant and a visit to the theatre or the cinema.

 

Berlin trip 22 - 25 April 2010

The German department will organize a trip to Vienna or Berlin from 22nd April to 25th April 2010 for Y11 and Y12 students of German A and B. We will travel by train or plane and stay in a hotel in the city centre. The aim of the trip is educational: it is a four-day exposure to the German language and culture. The program includes visits to various museums and other places of interest. The evening program consists of a dinner in a German/Austrian restaurant and a visit to the theatre or the cinema. In both cases a minimum of 10 participants is needed.
