about the Secondary School
Welcome to the home page of the International School of The Hague, Secondary School (often referred to as ISH Secondary).
As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we are members of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) and have gained the status of a Council of International Schools (CIS) Accredited School.
In addition, ISH Secondary is a member of the group of Dutch International Secondary Schools (DISS), a group of ten international schools in The Netherlands linked with Dutch national schools and are thus government subsidised. We therefore have a lot we can learn from and share with each other, and amongst other things we share aspects of teacher induction and staff training.
Our curriculum is totally international, Years 7-11 offer the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP), and Years 12-13 offer the IB Diploma Programme (IB DP). In addition Dutch is taught to all students aged 11-16 as part of helping them to fit into the host community.
