Complaints procedure

Our dedication lies in delivering quality education within a supportive school environment. Should you encounter any issues despite our best endeavours, we encourage an open dialogue. Initially, we advise addressing concerns directly with the involved teacher(s) or individual(s). If resolution remains elusive, the Principal will facilitate discussions to seek a satisfactory outcome.

Should you find the matter unresolved within the school's scope, you have the option to escalate your concern to either the Executive Board of the Stichting Het Rijnlands Lyceum or the Landelijke Klachtencommissie Onderwijs (LKC), the National Education Complaints Committee. Confidential Persons (Vertrouwenspersonen) at ISH
A team of confidential persons has been set up where staff and parents may seek support and/or advice on matters requiring a great degree of confidentiality. The confidential person may be approached in the event of concerns of bullying, harassment, discrimination and sexual harassment. The confidential person is able to provide support, information, and, if needed, advice on seeking any outside help available. They also act as ‘support persons’ in the case of formal complaints. There is a team for Primary and a team for Secondary in accordance with Dutch regulations.

External Confidential Persons (Vertrouwenspersonen)

Anyone is free to go to the external confidential person instead of the internal confidential person. The external confidential person can guide the reporter/complainant through the complaints procedure and refer to support from other external parties. The external confidential persons at our Foundation are affiliated with Centrum Vertrouwenspersonen Plus. The contact details are given below.
