Last summer Ms Kellie Bacchoo and daughter’s best friend Sophie cut their hair for charity. Making wigs for people who need them is a cause close to the heart of Ms Bacchoo, who is a Teaching Assistant in our Primary school where both her daughter and best friend Sophie also attend.
They chose the children’s charity The Little Princess Trust, since they welcome any hair as long as it is dyed to a natural-looking colour. Adult charities normally only accept natural hair, which makes donating a bit more difficult for everyone who dyes their hair. Good news that it’s still possible to make a difference.
The Little Princess Trust is in greatest need of long hair wigs of 30 cm, but also accept hair of any length from 19 cm onwards. When Ms Bacchoo cut her hair, it was a whopping 35 cm in length.
