Year 12 students are investigating the relationship between the knower and the process of knowing. One of the main questions in this discussion is: “What shapes my perspective as a knower?”.

This reminds me of an event taking place last week, namely the unveiling of the Holocaust Monument in Amsterdam. Planning for this monument started over 15 years ago and has met with many objections and protests.

In this discussion, investigating the question stated above could shed some light on where this disagreement comes from. Should we be more aware of our different perspectives?
