For over 40 years, the International School of The Hague (ISH) has been a home away from home for families from more than 100 nationalities. As a diverse and mobile community, we have a unique opportunity to foster a welcoming, inclusive, and resilient environment for all families.
All Primary families are automatically members of the Parents’ Association, and everyone is encouraged to participate, engage, and build meaningful connections across the school community.

What We Do

The Primary Parents’ Association supports the school’s mission to shape a better future for all by building a connected and compassionate community of global families.
We are committed to:

  • Strengthening community connections through inclusive school-related activities
  • Supporting new families as they transition into the ISH community
  • Promoting intercultural understanding, mutual respect, and inclusivity
  • Encouraging collaboration and open communication between parents and teachers
  • Creating accessible systems for parent engagement and feedback

How We Do This

We achieve our goals through:

  • Organising community-building events and social activities
  • Supporting and collaborating on school events and celebrations
  • Welcoming and guiding new and expatriate families
  • Working closely with Parent Representatives and class chats
  • Encouraging parents to engage with the school in meaningful, non-staff roles

Our Mission Statement

The ISH Primary Parents’ Association fosters an inclusive, welcoming, and engaged community by connecting families, supporting the school, and promoting collaboration, cultural understanding, and meaningful parent involvement for the wellbeing of all Primary students.
