Four Project Kenya students cycle Ronde van 12
Four Project Kenya students cycle Ronde van 12

We, Brina, Daan, Daniel and Julian, are four students from the International School of the Hague who are cycling the Ronde van 12 between 4-6 July to raise sponsorship money for Project Kenya.

Project Kenya is a student-led initiative where we will go to a rural town in Kenya to build classrooms and install water tanks. 100% of the funds we raise will be invested locally by hiring local craftsmen and buying local materials for the build. Any surplus money left over will be spent on goods and materials for the classrooms such as books, paper, crafting materials, etc.

To prove our determination to this project we will participate in the Ronde van 12 cycling tour. This is a three day, 145 km per day cycling tour that crosses through all the 12 provinces of the Netherlands. This will test our physical and mental limits and be an enormous challenge for us. During this journey, we will be accompanied by two members of staff on bike and one by car.

We aim to raise a minimum of 1740 euros, 435 euros per student, meaning 1 euro for every kilometre cycled. Your support motivates us immensely to continue and finish this journey!
