On Tuesday this week 25 students from The International School of the Hague, who are interested in pursuing a career in international law ,spent a day at The International Criminal Tribunal For The Former Yugoslavia. During this visit they were able to watch the court in session and observe one of the prosecution lawyers cross-examine a key trial witness.
The programme also included meeting a number of key members of the ICTY including a Senior Trial Attorney, ICTY Interns, a Conference Interpreter, the Senior Prosecutor and one of the Judges.
During their visit the students were able to have a special insight into the workings of the ICTY and benefitted tremendously from this experience.
Many thanks go to Carolyn Edgerton for arranging this fantastic opportunity for our students.
