Y12 Studentss are expected back at school on Wednesday 24 August 2016 at 08:30 for the Y12 Induction Day to the IB Diploma Programme. The day offers the Y12 Students a chance to get to know the programme, their mentors and other staff who will support them during the IB Diploma Programme.
Induction Day starts in the Conference Room at 8:30. Students need to be on time. Y12 Induction Day will end at around 16.35. The purpose of the day is to provide Y12 Students with information about the IBDP programme at the International School of The Hague, to learn more about CAS, to promote team building in mentor groups and to give the Students a chance to get to know the Year Group. Students will need to bring a pen, paper and a bag if they want to carry any new books home. The Students will be outside for some portion of the day. The current weather forecast is very good. It may possibly go up to 31 degrees in Kijkduin. Students should bring a bottle of water, caps/hats, sunscreen lotion, good walking/running shoes and wear active gear suitable for the heat. A packed lunch or money for the canteen is also recommended.
On Thursday 25 August 2016, the first three periods will be spent with their mentor sorting out locker cards and timetables etc. From period 4 onwards the Y12 Students will start normal lessons as per their individual timetable.
