On a sunny afternoon on July 4th 2017 the symbolic first pole for the construction of the new building was hammered in the ground by Maarten Knoester (Executive Director of the Stichting Rijnlands Lyceum) together with Juliette van Eerdewijk (Primary Principal of ISH), Pjer Wijsman (Business Manager of ISH) and Harm Benthem (Stadsdeeldirecteur Loosduinen)
The actual first pole will be put in the ground during the summer holidays when construction will start but the school wanted to celebrate this moment with the children and parents of the school while the school was still in session.
There were speeches by Maarten Knoester and Harm...., the student council had balloons, all the children were waving their flags and they sang the "Squish" song in two different versions.
It was a festive start to the building construction.
We will keep you up to date with more details as the construction begins.
