Posted 12/03/2018 21:51

A huge congratulations to the ISH Girls Varsity Basketball team who dominated the International Secondary Sports Teams (ISST) Division 2 tournament. Not only did they beat rivals the British School of The Netherlands (BSN) 47-33 in an amazing final, they did so on home territory, in front of hundreds of supporters. An occasion that will go down in history!

The performance of the team during this entire tournament is a wonderful testament to the determination and skill of these girls to have competed so consistently throughout, despite not being the favourites to win. Spurred on by coaches Kim Adam and Alec Nightingale they elevated their game to greater heights. This win puts them in the Division 1 conference next year.

It has been a great tournament from start to finish. From the wonderful performance by the ISH Orchestra on the floor of the gyms to the electric atmosphere in a jam packed gym to witness the crowning moment. For their great performance Alara and Blanca were selected for the All-Tournament Team. Well done to all involved!

Huge congratulations and thanks go to Omar Boutayeb, our Athletics Director for making it all happen.
