Tennis success in Brussels
Posted 31/05/2018 22:48

The Varsity Tennis Silverbacks Team travelled to Brussels and competed in the last ISST Tournament of the year to end Season 3. Going into the championships the team were very confident and looked forward to the challenge. It was a very tough tournament however, ISH had a record number of medal place matches that showed the Silverbacks were serious contenders. The girl's team continued to dominate, taking home the gold and bronze in the singles and the gold in the doubles, meaning the girls team came 1st overall (back to back years) The boy's team just missed out on individual medals but their excellent performance put them in 3rd place, making ISH History by reaching their highest position to date. These positions gave the Silverbacks a combined overall 2nd place, just missing out on the top spot, but again giving ISH their best ever tennis final position. An excellent overall performance lead by two fantastic captains, Daliyah Hammoud and Ron van der Horst. Congratulations to all students and coaches involved. Look out next year!! GO SILVERBACKS.
