The 28th annual MUNISH conference was held at our school last weekend!. The organization began in February, and after 9 months of hard work, the Board of Directors of MUNISH, Ms Peters and Mr Boeyink saw the conference come to life. The theme of this year's MUNISH conference was " Rising to the Challenges of Exponential Change". Over 1000 delegates from around 120 delegations discussed various issues such as the global rise of populist governments to nuclear disarmament and the situation in Syria.
After setting up the conference on Thursday, it all began on Friday. The ICJ committee visited the Peace Palace and the other committees lobbied and collected several ideas to form resolutions that could be debated on. On Saturday, all committees started debating and working together to think of innovative ideas to solve the problems at hand. The day came to a close with a fun party at Madurodam.
The debate commenced on Sunday morning and later that day, MUNISH came to a conclusion with many passed resolutions that provided solutions to various societal problems that we face today. We hope that MUNISH had a large impact on its participants, and we hope to see many of you next year for the 29th annual MUNISH conference.
