Spreading The Holiday Cheer, One Box at a Time
Posted 07/12/2018 12:47

In the last few weeks, the Year 7 students have been busy decorating and filling Shoeboxes for an annual project we do in Year 7. This activity is a great opportunity for Service and Action, and it is one that is enjoyed by all Year 7s. This year, the boxes were donated to Action4kids, who ensure that the boxes get to young people who need a little extra cheer during this festive season.

It was great to see two full carloads last Friday with over 150 boxes. The boxes were brought to the collection station in Waddinxveen. This project would not have been possible without the help of Mr McClure and Ms Vallduirola, so THANK you for giving up your time and your cars, and THANK you, 7G students, for helping load the cars.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the students and parents who contributed to this project and the mentors for being patient whilst decorating the boxes together with the students. We hope to spread the holiday cheer next year, one box at a time.
