IBCP Students Cook the Books
Posted 25/01/2019 11:01

Chemistry came to the business classroom last week, as the IBCP students performed a fun experiment with Profit and Loss. As part of their BTEC Business unit on 'Interpreting Financial Statements', the team discovered how football clubs who sell their players at a lower price can help them remember how to calculate the break-even point.

The break-even experiment demonstrated just how important it is for businesses to monitor their budgets and how using forecasts can help firms and investors make better decisions. From stock market trading to cooking the books, what's next you may ask? Looks like the IBCP students are certainly getting a taste for international commerce.
