Discussing Global Issues In Luxembourg
Posted 05/04/2019 14:32

At the end of March, a small group of students traveled to Luxembourg to represent the ISH at the Global Issues Network Conference. The theme of the conference was "Committing to the world's most vulnerable people, places and resources". The event had over 30 schools participating with a wide diversity of nationalities.

We got the opportunity to listen to inspirational keynotes and we attended motivating workshops and listened to several enlightening presentations. We also got the chance to meet like-minded students from all around the world. Our group hosted a workshop on Yemen to raise awareness on its ongoing humanitarian crisis.

The conference lasted 3 days; Thursday all through to Saturday and many different issues were discussed and presented by students and keynote speakers. After the conference, students were able to socialize and make friends with other people that were passionate about the same issues and they got a chance to explore the beautiful city of Luxembourg by cycling through it and visiting the popular sights.

We all had a great time and we hope to attend the conference next year!
