IBCPs Unbeerlievable Journey to Heineken

Not all classrooms have walls! A very large portion of the student's work must lie outside the classroom.

Last Thursday the IBCP students were treated to a fun and informative visit to the Heineken Experience in Amsterdam. The
curriculum-linked trip to study marketing and branding gave the students an insight into one of the worlds leading drink manufacturing companies. Moreover, linking to the core IBCP values, the marketing and branding excursion gave the students greater inspiration to be doers and thinkers.

The 'Ad Hop' digital interactive experience told the story of how a simple Heineken bottle fits into everyday life. Understanding the history and culture of the giant drink-manufacturing firm, enabled a better appreciation of how branding can have a profound influence on customer perception and how marketing strategy influences the exponential growth of one of the worlds best loved beers.

After a short break for lunch in Marie Heinekenplein, it was soon time to head back to school. The final surprise of the day was the trip back in the 'FunBus' where all the IBCP family got together for a sing-a-long CP style.

The lively and insightful trip brought a more practical and realistic perspective to part of the IBCP study curricula.
