"There is a deep interconnectedness of all life on earth, from the tiniest organisms, to the largest ecosystems, and absolutely between each person." ― Bryant McGill

Year 2 are starting their last IPC unit of the year; 'Live and Let Live' which explores what living things need to survive. For the entry point last week, the children had a visit from one of our parents, Simona Marvan, who is Emma and Adam's mummy. Simona and her husband are both vets. She talked to the children about her role as a vet and how vets diagnose pet illnesses.

In addition, she talked about what animals need to keep them healthy, as well as sharing information about popular pets. She told us lots of interesting animal information... did you know that cat's noses have a pattern, just like a human finger print!

This was a fabulous way to launch the unit and get the children interested and excited about learning!
