"Geography is an earthly subject, but a heavenly science." -Edmund Burke
From Wednesday 26th - Friday 28th June the Year 12 Geographers travelled to the Dutch island of Schiermonnikoog to undertake the fieldwork needed for their Internal Assessment which is worth 25% of the final grade for SL students and 20% of the HL students.
We had perfect weather to collect the data we needed across the sand dunes, cycle the island and take a tour with a National Park Ranger. While days were spent collecting information in the field our evenings were busy collating the data.
Students did an excellent job of gathering the information, making good observations, asking critical questions in addition to keeping the camp clean, including lots of washing-up duties! We now need to focus on the next steps in presenting and analyzing this data from a fascinating part of our host country.
