A Midsummer Night's Dream (MSND)-November 2019
Posted 29/11/2019 10:37

The ISH Secondary Production: A Midsummer Night's Dream was on for three consecutive performance night's: Tuesday 19th, Wednesday 20th, Thursday 21st November, with an in school matinee on Monday 18th November.

The MSND Team have been incredibly busy, working from the start of the academic year. They developed a creative and unique production. Each week intensified. There were many weekend and after school rehearsals. The Dream Team did a fabulous job infusing Shakespeare with rock music. The play had many twists and turns and there were a specialised team of dancers involved too. Creating atmosphere, pace and energy with some of the transitions.

The Arts Department have embraced this performing arts project. Behind the scenes were the artistic designers: set, costume, hair and make-up. All intrinsically linked to ensure the artistic themes were echoed throughout the production.

The acting team/ Cast, were students who worked incredibly hard to familiarise themselves with Shakespeare roles, working collaboratively in roles of director and performers. The musicians were fabulous too. All in all a great team and a huge congratulations to all involved.
