The Varsity Rugby team travelled to London and had a taste of ISST to come. Two tough games, in a cold and wet UK.

ISH go down to TASIS 10-20 but rise and defeat host school ASL 19-5. The Silverbacks leave London with valuable tournament experience. Go Silverbacks!

Last week Y7 students visited the Filmhuis in The Hague. This was a successful trip and a great experience. Students produced their own fiction and animation movies. Both the workshop leaders and teachers were very impressed by our students and their final results. We selected one of the movies to show here the success of the trip. All movies showed dedication from the students. The movies have been shared with the students. Your child, will surely be proud to show you.

On Sunday 4 February the annual Feel@Home in The Hague Fair took place in the atrium of the municipality of The Hague. The International School of The Hague was represented in many ways. We had a stand where we were able to meet with prospective parents and answer some of the questions they had. Various student groups showed the projects and work they are involved with. They can be very proud of themselves!

Back by popular demand, the ISH Orchestra and Choir were asked to open the day. They did a fantastic job. It wowed all the guests and showed what talented musicians we have at the school, and the talented teachers who lead them.

They performed a number of songs, not least a little sneak preview of the school Opera that they will perform in June. Below you find a clip of their performance of "The writing's on the wall" by Sam Smith - always a crowd pleaser, with beautiful vocals by Maya Nelson Rowntree.

The International School of The Hague had a stand at the fair as well. It was in the education section of the fair, near the other international Stichting schools: The European School and Rijnlands Oegstgeest, and close to The British School of The Netherlands (BSN) and The International School of Delf (ISD). Some familiar faces from school took time out to stop by and say hello. It was lovely to see them.

The ISH Silverback engineering team got to showcase their car...or rather a part of it. It was good exposure for them and will hopefully lead to some sponsorship.

The entire IB Career Related Program team was there. The students took this opportunity to raise money for one of their projects. These engaging and motivated students managed to raise a lot. Well done team!

The Silverbacks dominated their Brussels trip on the weekend, winning 4 out of the 5 games played.

The U14 Girls Basketball Team lost to BSB while the U14 Boys and Varsity Boys and Girls Basketball teams beat BSB convincingly.

The Varsity Boys Rugby Team made history by playing ISH's first ever rugby game against ISB. The Silverbacks newest team competed against ISST rivals ISB and put on an excellent display of rugby, winning 32-14. Tries scored by Issa, Nour, Cederick and Olaf gave the Silverbacks a well-deserved win.

Great Job to all teams. ISST is coming......5 weeks to go!
