At the International School of The Hague (ISH) we place a great deal of emphasis on the children’s holistic development, and whilst acknowledging the importance of academic achievement, it is imperative that we ensure they develop positive attitudes and attributes.
The personal goals were developed from the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) personal goals and the International Baccalaureate (IB) learner profile.
As part of the process we also developed our six ‘Golden Rules’
- Be careful and be safe
- Be honest
- Listen to others
- Take care of property
- Be kind and helpful
- Look after our planet
To make the personal goals and golden rules more accessible to the children we developed the character of SquISH the spider. You will see SquISH all around the school and every family is presented with a fridge magnet to remind them of the personal goals.
The Health Office of the International School of The Hague (ISH) aims to foster a safe and healthy environment conducive to students’ learning and growing while at ISH. The office is comprised of four qualified, experienced professionals who serve the health care needs of both the Primary and Secondary Schools. The Health Office is open from 08:00 to 16:30 (except from 13:30 to 14:00 whereby the Health Office is closed for a break). The Health Office is open for any medical concerns, injuries/accidents, and illnesses. This includes intervention for minor injuries or illnesses and referral to the health care community for more urgent or serious health concerns.
