Idan Goldwasser (Glee Club, ISH staff choir)
Idan holds a BA from the academy of music and dance in Israel both in voice and in musical education with a minor in choir conducting.
He moved to the Netherlands to continue his voice studies in The Hague with mezzo soprano Rita Dams and soprano Dian Forlano.
He sang for two years with the Moran vocal ensemble in Israel, and the Chamber choir of the music academy. He also sang the role of Monostatos in Mozart's magic flute with the Israeli Philharmonic, and the role of the old man and the frog in Ravel's L'enfant et le sortilege with the chamber orchestra of the academy of music and dance.
In the past two years he has been invited regularly to sing with the Santo Servico choir both as a soloist and as a choir member.
With the Plantsoen Theatre, he sang the role of the singer in the production of Brasserie la mere, and has participated in a cabaret evening with songs from Kurt Weill.
In addition to his work as a singer, Idan has worked as a children's choir conductor while a student at the music academy, and as an assistant conductor and voice teacher of the Cantabille choir in Petah Tiqwa conducted by Eva Pitlik.
He is currently conducting the Shir Balev choir in Amsterdam for the third year, after a successful 7 day tour in Israel last year. He coaches the ISH's Glee Club and teaches voice at the Gooische muziek school in Muiden as well as privately.
